WDNFRA started back in October 2006. Mat & Fred, brothers, started to jam in their dad's basement with the dream of making a band. Fred started to play drums the very first day the band was created. Wicked World and Freak are the first songs ever written. Jo joined the band a few weeks later, to complete on base guitar. They were no specific goals at the beginning of WDNFRA but they badly wanted a first gig so they would practice for weeks almost everyday to get ready. The first show took place in Montréal, February 24th, at cafe l'inco. Great crowd, but bad sound and very poor performance.

After this first gig, they played some other shows in the same area but they were especially focused on their first demo ever, which was recorded in late March 2007 at Concordia University, with a student from there who was learning sound. It was recorded live, with 2-3 takes per song. The sound was alright, but then again, you could feel they was something missing in the band. Months went by and the idea of having a new guitarist kept coming on the table but no concrete moves were made and being in a thrash metal band in a scene ruled by "Hardcore" and "Death Metal" made things harder to convince someone to join the project. But they would never give up, practicing hard until a lead guitar cross their path.

And then came Boud, in September 2007. Remembering that he was kicking ass on guitar and very unique in his style, Jo kept harassing the band to give him a chance. Mat wasn't too sure about the idea at first, convinced that he had to be the one who finding the new guy, normal thinking when you consider that he found the band's name, wrote the songs, booked the gigs, everything thus far was led by him. Despite all of this, he decided to give it a try, cause it's been months they were dreaming about finding a new guitarist.
