BIOGRAPHY:: Page 2 of 4The first jam sessions were strange, Mat was frustrated and stressed with a lot of things, but Boud quickly came with good ideas to make the songs better, with great solos, and almost every riff were perfected. Fred was a way better drummer then at the beginning, same for Jo on bass, so that made things easier for everyone when writting the new songs. As soon as the new member officially joined the band, the old demo was removed from there internet profile.
First shows with Boud were played at various partys, local bars, and the more WDNFRA played, the more they were drawing attention from heavy metal fans as well as from other bands cause they had a very distinct sound, more american-like, remembering the bay area's thrash sound from the 80's. The only bad thing is that they didn't have any demo recorded to give or sell that included the new member who was impressing everyone, show after show. They absolutely needed new recordings, with a fresh new sound. Songs were practiced and modified a thousand of time during summer 2008. They actually bought everything on there own, console, cables, amps, drums, and rented a local to record everything by themselves with Boud as the soundman. At the same time, they were also working on there first good looking logo, myspace page, and the old demo songs being removed made it hard for promoting, giving an additional stress to the band. Especially to Mat who wasn't confident at all with his vocals. Fans started to lose interest in the band, even if two songs were actually released with no lyrics as an early preview before an actual four songs demo but it didn't really helped, because people wanted more. The band was for a while, something you could easily ignore. Previous | Next Page [ 1 2 3 4 ] |
